David Beckham has expressed an interest in playing for Great Britain in next summer's London Olympics. The 35-year-old, who has amassed 115 caps for England, has enjoyed a glittering career having spent four seasons with Real Madrid after a trophy-laden spell with Manchester United.
He is currently plying his trade in the MLS but has one eye on playing his part in next year's highly-anticipated Olympics, even though he will be 37.
Beckham is not counting his chickens with the tournament over a year away but feels in good health and believes his form is good enough for selection.
"I think it's something I'd like to be involved in as a player," said Beckham.
"But we'll have to wait and see what happens, as it's still a year away yet.
"I feel good in games and I feel as if I'm still performing well. I'll enjoy the rest of this season. You know we're only five games in."
