Kaiserslautern's 1-1 draw with Hamburg on Saturday saw the minnows leap-frog Bremen into 15th place - and put Thomas Schaaf's men in real danger of being relegated at the end of the season.
A defeat at the WeserStadion would be yet another nail in their coffin. Second-placed Leverkusen will look to maintain some semblance of competition at the top of the table by beating Bremen and reducing the gap with leaders Borussia Dortmund to 10 points.
Dortmund continued with their winning ways on Saturday - by beating Bayern Munich 3-1 and effectively ending the Bavarians' hopes of defending the title.
Meanwhile, Stuttgart will try to move away from the
foot of the table when they travel to Frankfurt on Sunday.
