The Blues' latest goalless draw away to Fulham on Monday all but sealed their title fate this season as they currently trail leaders Manchester United by a massive 12 points in fifth.
He said: "Chelsea fans need to forget the title, it's over, let's get that one thing straight.
"I'm Reading a lot of rubbish in the press today, ‘they're x amount of points behind Man United'. Forget Manchester United, we're not going to catch Manchester United, we're not going to catch Arsenal, those two are going to fight it out for the title.
"Spurs and Manchester City are the two teams we really need to keep ahead of, as soon as you get that into your head and stop worrying about the title I think Chelsea will move forward."
Carlo Ancelotti's men are two points behind fourth-place Tottenham as they take on Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
