Ex-Manchester United midfielder Lou Macari believes home advantage will help the club return to winning ways.


Following a run of four successive away games, United's season is threatening to unravel following back-to-back defeats at Chelsea and Liverpool.
United looking forward to home runIn addition to the two losses to their Barclays Premier League rivals, Sir Alex Ferguson's men also played out a dour 0-0 draw against Marseille in the UEFA Champions League, with United's only victory in the past fortnight a 4-0 triumph over lowly Wigan.
While many have been quick to acknowledge this poor series of results as the beginning of the end of United's trophy aspirations this season, Macari feels playing consecutive away fixtures, added to the quality of the opposition, always meant that United were in for a tough run.
"I don't care who you play, three away [league] games in a row are tough," Macari revealed on MUTV. "But if you're playing against Chelsea and Liverpool in that run, there's always a chance you'll come unstuck in one of them or even two as we have done."
